Hi! I’m Jenny, a passionate Latina dietitian dedicated to simplifying diabetes management.
My journey into this field began at the age of 8 when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. From that moment, I knew I wanted to help others navigate the complexities of living with diabetes without unnecessary stress.
As a Latina, I deeply understand the significance of our cultural foods. They’re not just meals; they’re the heart of our celebrations and the bonds we share with loved ones, often filled with delicious carbs! I’m here to guide you with evidence-based practices that honor your culture, your favorite dishes, and help you develop habits rooted in health-promoting behaviors and joyful diabetes self-care. My nutrition philosophy centers around intuitive eating principles and a weight-neutral approach.
I believe that our health is about more than just what we eat; it’s about seeing the whole picture and making changes that truly support your overall well-being. Outside of work, you’ll find me at hot yoga, enjoying leisurely walks around Austin with my frenchie named Bru, exploring local coffee shops, or indulging in a good book.
From Jenny: “I’m dedicated to helping you achieve better health through a personalized counseling approach that centers on understanding your lifestyle, preferences, and priorities. With a foundation in intuitive eating, I’ll empower you to embrace food freedom, even while managing diabetes, and to truly honor your body’s needs. Together, we’ll form a collaborative partnership, working as a team to enhance your overall well-being. My goal is to support you on your journey to better health while respecting all that is important to you along the way.”
