Find a Diabetes Dietitian in Maryland

Thank YOU for creating Diabetes Digital! I had no plans to work with a dietician because I was worried about feeling shame around my diagnosis as well as slipping back into disordered eating practices and ridiculous exercise habits. We’ve set some really small and attainable goals that we’re hoping with have a great impact on my A1C level in three months. We’re not cutting out foods. We’re looking at all facets of life (stress, sleep, what medications I’m taking, perimenopause), and it was made absolutely clear to me that pre-diabetes is not my fault. I felt so positive after my meeting with Teela and look forward to working with her again.

As a first timer to one-on-one coaching, Carmelita was very warm and welcoming. I have already recommended Diabetes Digital to a few friends because of the easy to use platform, the great service I have received so far from sign up to becoming a client, and can see myself actually seeing through any goals I create with my dietitian because of the great support.

My dietitian Lauryn was so warm and friendly! She put me at ease immediately and made me feel safe to be honest about my struggles, goals, and overall health. I've never been excited to work with a dietitian until now. :)

Jenny is simply amazing! Working with her has greatly enriched my knowledge about managing diabetes, and has empowered me to feel confident and able to make sustainable choices to improve my health. Jenny Fernandez was great to work with. She was knowledgeable and empathetic. I could not have asked for more. I was on the fence about joining because I knew I needed to address my disordered eating with a mental health professional. While I know it requires a balance with nutritional counseling, I feel comfortable and confident in my nutrition education and that journey has already helped me get as far as I am today.

Lauryn is fantastic! I’m excited to continue our work together. She’s already educating me on small changes and is incredibly kind and sensitive. Plus she’s a joy to talk to. I liked Teela’s gradual approach. She doesn’t make me feel overwhelmed with too much information in too little time.

It was very positive! I felt heard, supported, and respected. I also received specific, very helpful recommendations. Truly, it was excellent!

Isabel was very nice and personable. She was good at planning out the meeting for the day and then steering our chat in the right direction. She was good at asking her questions and allowing me to answer her, fully. Also, she was not judgemental. She listened to my thoughts and answers and then acknowledged what I was saying.

Fernando is a good listener and very knowledgeable. He provides actionable insights and takes into consideration my experiences and how that affects eating and nutrition.

I loved the walk through of my test results.  I also appreciated how much time and care given for the session.  I felt heard and motivated. I'm excited about working together.
