Conditions We Treat

Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes: A chronic condition where the pancreas produces little or no insulin.
Type 2 Diabetes: Characterized by the body’s inability to fully regulate blood sugar levels due to insufficient insulin production or the body’s decreased sensitivity to insulin.
Type 1.5 Diabetes (LADA – Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults): An adult-onset autoimmune diabetes condition.
Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM): A form of diabetes that occurs during pregnancy.

Prediabetes

Prediabetes / Impaired Fasting Glucose / Impaired Glucose Tolerance: Indicates higher than normal blood sugar levels but not high enough for a diabetes diagnosis.
Insulin Resistance: A condition where cells in the body do not respond effectively to insulin.
Metabolic Syndrome: A cluster of conditions that increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Prediabetes: Women with PCOS are at an increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
