Have you noticed that sometime in your late 30s or early 40s, things just… shifted? You’re eating the same, moving the same, but your A1c has crept up, and your energy feels all over the place. Me too.
I’m Jess, a registered dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), and I’m also the co-founder and CEO of Diabetes Digital. I’ve spent over a decade helping people manage their blood sugar and build sustainable habits, without resorting to dieting or chasing weight loss.
These days, I work 1:1 with a small number of clients—mostly perimenopausal women of color in their late 30s to 40s (and a few men too!)—who want to build or preserve muscle to support blood sugar, energy, hormones, and long-term health. You don’t need to become a bodybuilder to see benefits. Just a small increase in muscle mass during midlife can go a long way in supporting metabolic health.
I focus on strength training, protein- and fiber-forward meals, and simple structure that supports—not controls—your day. While I’ve worked extensively with disordered eating, my current work is for those who’ve already done the deep healing and are ready to shift into goal-oriented, gentle nutrition.
My ideal client isn’t focused on weight loss.
More about me: I live with ADHD, Hashimoto’s, and Primary Ovarian Insufficiency and take hormone replacement therapy. These lived experiences shape how I show up as a provider: with curiosity, flexibility, and strategies that actually work in a real, messy life.
Also: dog mom. Stand-up comedy hobbyist. Home decor enthusiast.
What to expect: Sessions are warm, collaborative, practical, and dare I say…fun! We’ll set realistic goals and build routines that work for your actual life, not some “ideal” version of it.
