About Zul

(She/Her)

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by nutrition advice and unsure of what you’re actually
supposed to eat? You’re not alone, and healthy eating doesn’t have to mean giving up the foods you love.

I’m Zul, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist based in Arizona. I help people feel more confident with nutrition, better understand their health, and create realistic habits that fit into their everyday lives. I especially enjoy working with individuals navigating prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes, cholesterol and heart health, and nutrition for muscle growth and strength. My approach is practical, individualized, and focused on creating habits that you can actually maintain. I don’t believe nutrition should be one-size-fits-all. Whether you’re working on improving your blood sugar, building strength, supporting your heart health, or simplydeveloping more balanced eating habits, we’ll work together to find what fits your lifestyle.

My ideal client isn’t looking for perfection.

  • They want to feel more confident making food choices without constantly second-guessing themselves.
  • They want to improve their health while still enjoying the foods they love.
  • They want practical nutrition guidance that fits their real life—not another restrictive diet.
  • They want to understand the “why” behind nutrition so they can feel more confident managing their health.

As a CDCES, I have a special passion for diabetes care. I enjoy helping people better understand blood sugar, food choices, medications, lifestyle habits, and diabetesself-management. My goal is to make diabetes nutrition feel less overwhelming and more approachable, focusing on small, sustainable changes that can make a meaningful difference over time. Culture matters, too. As a Hispanic Latina and fluent Spanish speaker, I understand how important family, culture, and traditional foods can be when it comes to nutrition. I love helping patients incorporate the foods and flavors they grew up with into a balanced lifestyle rather than feeling like they need to change the way they eat completely.

More About Me

I’m originally from Yuma, Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics Emphasis, and a minor in Spanish. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me weightlifting, spending time with my dogs, hiking and camping, traveling, exploring national parks, or experimenting with sourdough. I especially enjoy making sourdough and am always excited to try a new recipe!
