Frequently Asked Questions
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a highly trained and qualified healthcare professional specializing in nutrition and dietetics. They hold at least a bachelor’s degree, with many pursuing advanced degrees such as a Master’s or Ph.D. To become an RD, individuals must complete a supervised dietetic internship, gaining practical experience in clinical settings, community health programs, and food service management. Afterward, they must pass a rigorous national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Some states also require RDs to obtain state licensure. RDs are nutrition experts, possessing in-depth knowledge of food science, physiology, and the role of nutrition in health and disease.
Our team of registered dietitians has been carefully selected for their expertise and commitment to evidence-based diabetes care. They come from diverse backgrounds with extensive clinical experience, ensuring that you receive well-rounded and culturally sensitive support on your path to better health.
No, our approach is not one size fits all. We understand that each individual’s needs and goals are unique. That’s why we offer personalized counseling, tailored meal planning, and 1:1 messaging with your Registered Dietitian to ensure our services are customized to meet your specific requirements. We aim to provide individualized support and guidance on your journey to effective diabetes management and prevention.
Absolutely! We recognize the importance of cultural sensitivity and will tailor our approach to respect and include your cultural preferences and traditions.
We recommend working with your dietitian for at least 12 sessions to ensure you can address challenges and receive ongoing support throughout your journey to effective diabetes management and prevention. If you have insurance coverage, the number of sessions you can have in a calendar year will depend on your specific insurance plan.
We offer a complimentary insurance verification service for your convenience. To get started, please take a moment to fill out our introductory quiz. This will provide us with the necessary information to perform an insurance verification on your behalf. While we process your insurance details, you can also go ahead and book your initial visit with us. Please allow us up to 3 days to complete the verification and get back to you with the specifics of your coverage.
